Soil tillage machinery

Cultivators and rotavators for agricultural applications are somewhat similar to ploughs, as they break up the soil, remove weeds, level land surfaces and mix fertilisers. However, ploughs turn over the soil, while rotavators and cultivators mix it up. At Huis Vallaey you will find the complete range of New Holland agricultural machinery, Herriau seed drills, Agrifac sprayers, Geringhoff attachments, DiBO cleaning machines and Maschio implements.

Trailed or mounted cultivators

Heavy-duty construction

At Huis Vallaey you will find the complete range of New Holland cultivators. Both the trailed and mounted stubble cultivators benefit from heavy-duty construction. This means they can cope with the most irregular and heavy soil. Thanks to the considerable ground clearance and large distance between the tines, they also do not cause any blockages.

Transport wheels

Our trailed stubble cultivators feature wide transport wheels that ensure safe transportation on the road and minimise soil compaction when turning on the headland.

In transport mode hydraulic folding stubble cultivators allow for safe, easy and quick maintenance. The hydraulic pressure system on the wings allows the cultivator to accurately follow the contours of the field for uniform cultivation.

Besides trailed and mounted stubble cultivators, Huis Vallaey also sells seedbed cultivators, disc cultivators, hoeing machines, Maschio rotavators and Maschio power harrows.

New Holland's Paragrubber Subsoiler

The New Holland Paragrubber subsoiler is equipped with a straight heavy-duty frame with six curved tines. The tines have 60 mm tips and adjustable wings that adapt to the raised ground. They have a working width of 3 metres and a working depth of up to 50 cm, enabling the subsoiler to lift and loosen the soil over the entire working width. The special tine profile has limited impact on the soil. At the rear, the Paragrubber has a three-point linkage that makes it easy to combine the subsoiler with a PTO-driven implement, such as a power harrow or rotavator. As a result, the machine can till the stubble and cultivate and sow in one pass.

The agronomic advantages of New Holland cultivators and rotavators

  • Processing crop residues: stubble cultivation under the right conditions contributes to accelerated decomposition of stubble, straw or other plant residues for faster nutrient delivery.
  • Utilising soil moisture: stubble cultivation creates an optimal climate for microorganisms to flourish.
  • Preparing the seed bed: shallow soil cultivation promotes the germination of lost and dormant seeds. By breaking up the hard upper layer, roots can reach moisture and nutrients. New Holland seedbed cultivators prepare the seedbed in a single operation. You optimise your activities and reduce operating costs at the same time.
  • Levelling the soil: wheel tracks and harvesting in poor conditions cause unevenness in the field. Stubble cultivation eliminates them, making subsequent tillage more successful.
  • Weed control: cultivators and rotavators pull up any weeds present and mix them with the soil, where they die and decompose. Therefore, you need little or no herbicides, which gives you an environmental and economic advantage.
